Write to us.
For corrections, source material, or to tell us we got something wrong.

You caught something wrong
Send the URL of the article, the specific claim, and what the correction should be. A primary source citation helps, but any credible pointer is a start. We update the article, note the correction inline with a date, and advance the modified date. We don't quietly fix and pretend it was always right.
You have source material
Photographs, letters, documents, or maps from the lighthouse era, the village, or the launch program. Include attribution and license terms so the material can be credited and cited correctly. If you're not sure about copyright status on older material, send it anyway and we'll sort it out together.
You work with archives
Coast Guard Historian's Office, the CCAFS history office, the Cape Canaveral Lighthouse Foundation, Florida Memory, or city archives. We'd rather cite a primary record than reconstruct from secondary accounts. If you can point us to a specific collection, accession number, or contact who handles public research requests, that's worth more than almost anything else you could send.
What we can't help with
Current launch schedules, visitor access to the lighthouse (contact the Cape Canaveral Lighthouse Foundation directly), or questions about active military base operations.
